HOPE

hope
Talking with a high school art teacher at the Bliss restaurant, she mentioned feeling down lately. I asked if the kids at school cheer her up. She said, “No. They are all doom and gloom, too. Can you blame them?”
I said, “This is like the 50’s with all of the atom bomb threats and the cold war. There is always someone saying it’s the end of the world.”
“Hmm. That’s true.”
“Yes, and the government makes use of this fear to take control and abuse power.”
“So there is hope?”
“Yes. It’s not the end of the world. I heard we were slated for the end, but the powers that be said since more people are evolving quickly that we can go on after all. So it’s worth keeping on with your aspirations. This is not the end. There is hope.”

I visited with Anne today, while she was traveling with Lucy. Check out the link titled we-act on the right column to her activism work on behalf of women survivors of rape and genocide in Rwanda with HIV.
